Yanfei Jia, a senior at Rogers High School and recent immigrant from China. She volunteers as a translator at a local nonprofit, to helping new immigrants translate, and serves as president of her school's Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter, leading a project to grow and donate food to local food banks. She also funded non-profit “mental tree”, give free access of mental health resources to everyone and launching chapters across the city. As the vice chair of environmental health on the Mayor’s Youth Commission of Tacoma, she collaborates with city leaders to promote environmental sustainability. Additionally, Yanfei organizes the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY), focusing on climate change awareness. In her free time, she love play guitar, go to the gym, and sleep.
