Lex started out by helping at a food stand every year at pow wow since 2019.

Then moved up to a camp counselor at counting coup horse camp and intern.

In his mid freshman year, he went to the national 4-h conference in Washington DC to present a slideshow of multiple crises to the Peace Corp.

From being an intern, he sent a letter to the Kalispel tribal council about the poor quality of food in the food market, and drew a map to the local food area.
