Ariana Vargas

Hello! My name is Ariana Vargas, I am from Grandview Washington. I attend school at Grandview High School and Yakima Valley College, I also work at Nuestra Casa as the Naturalization Legal Services assistant. Not only am I a daughter of immigrants, I was also raised and live in a community constructed of immigrants. Being a compassionate leader is vital in allowing yourself to connect to problem you are tackling and really just putting yourself in the position that others are found in. I want to be a Washington compassion scholar because it will give me the opportunity to further learn about the worldwide issues that immigrants face and how I can come back to my community to help make the change that is needed.
